Printing at the library just got easier

More library users than ever rely on the library as a place to print personal documents: tax forms, resumes, applications, recipes, assembly or repair instructions, and so much more.

Thanks to a generous donation of $9,827.00 from the Peculiar Charitable Trust, printing at the library just got easier.

An upgraded system for printing provides patrons with greater control and privacy in managing their printing at the library. The project upgrades technology at the Northern Resource Center and Harrisonville locations, strengthens customer service, and improves the patrons’ experience of the library in those locations. The project will also have a favorable cost-saving and environmental impact since it will reduce paper usage and waste.

All of the equipment, software and furniture necessary to complete this project were purchased with funds donated by the Peculiar Charitable Trust.

The Peculiar Charitable Foundation was established in 1968 by Edward P. Schug, a lifelong resident of Peculiar and Cass County, who passed away in 1998. Its purpose is to provide support for the citizens of Cass County in the areas of health, education, cultural and other charitable endeavors which benefit these citizens. Mr. Schug worked with many people as part of his professional career in banking, and established the Foundation as part of his dedication to Cass County. The current president of the Peculiar Charitable Foundation is Mary Dobson, daughter of Mr. Schug.

The new printing systems are fully installed and functioning at both the Harrisonville Branch and the Northern Resource Center in Belton.
