Library Increases Hours for Browsing

Cass County Public Library is pleased to offer more hours during which the public can browse and access in-branch services. It has been a full year since the library closed, in response to the pandemic. Branches reopened for limited hours in October, balancing service and safety of patrons and staff. The library will now provide more service hours and continue to keep case numbers low in the county.

Beginning on Monday, April 5th, all Cass County Public Library branches will increase operating hours. The Bookmobile will begin making limited stops throughout the county on April 14th.

Visitors to the library are asked to follow the library’s guidelines and precautions, which meet or exceed health department guidelines. These guidelines will help us keep case numbers low in the county.

  • Masks covering nose and mouth are strongly encouraged. Masks are available free to patrons.
  • In-branch visits are welcome.
  • Building occupancy is limited to 25% of regular capacity.
  • Public computer sessions are limited to 60 minutes.
  • Copy and print services are available at every branch.
  • Children’s toys and activities are not available.
  • Meeting spaces are not available for use.
  • No in-person events will be held on-site at any branches.
  • Social distancing guidelines are marked throughout the building.
  • Staff may not be able to assist patrons who are not wearing masks except from behind safety shields.

For patrons who prefer not to come into the branches, every branch will offer curbside service on Mondays and Thursdays from 2pm to 7pm.
