Summer Reading Program Kick-off
Summer Reading Program is here! We have kick-off events today and throughout the week. Come in, participate in the activities and sign up for the program. Leave with giant stack of books!
Opening Party: Teen helpers will sign up the kids. Reading requirements will be reviewed and the kids will receive their reading logs. The kids will make their capes and masks. This will be for kids of all ages. Drexel Branch: Monday, June 1, 2:00pm.
Summer Reading Program Kick Off—Superhero Training Academy: Calling all prospective Superheroes! Make your costume, hone your skills, save the day! Garden City Branch: Monday, June 1, 10am – 12pm.
Superhero Bash: Kick off the summer in superhero style with fun for the whole family! Cotton candy, Cowgirl Kate, face painting, games and more! Plus a chance to register for the summer reading program! Harrisonville Branch: Monday, June 1, 6:00pm.
Superhero Training Academy: Leap tall buildings in a single bound! Test your Mighty Muscles! Participate in a daring rescue mission! Crafts & fun for all ages, all day. Northern Resource Center: Monday, June 1, 9:00am – 8:00pm.
Super Hero Training Camp: Sign up for Summer Reading Program and build your own Superhero. We will kick off this event with a special, guest appearance of Cowgirl Kate, the Clown! Archie Branch: Tuesday, June 2, 10:00am.
Critter Carnival: Start the summer off with a fun animal themed carnival in the library parking lot. There will be games with prizes as well as a chance to sign up for the 2015 Summer Reading Program “Every Hero Has a Story”. You never know what animals may be visiting us that morning. All ages. Pleasant Hill Branch: Saturday, June 6, 10:00am.
