Thank you for helping save Missouri libraries

On Good Friday, the governor released the withheld state funds for public libraries. All of them.

Thank you to everyone who called the governor’s office, emailed or signed our petition. Your voices were heard.

We are still concerned that the withheld funds might become permanent cuts in next year’s budget. Legislators are presently considering a version of the budget that would make the governor’s library withholds permanent cuts.

We have contacted our legislators and asked them to fully fund public libraries in next year’s budget.
